Deca
CBO is bringing DECA chapters to Collingwood next year, a rare opportunity only a few Canadian high schools have had. Pre-registration for chapter members is starting now. DECA competitions focus on preparing students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, management, and entrepreneurship. DECA’s competitive events can be grouped into three broad categories— role-plays and case studies, prepared events and online simulations. DECA offers various workshops for students, over 50 competitive events, awards and scholarships, and more!
FBLA
CBO is also bringing FBLA chapters to Collingwood next year. These competitions cover a wide range of topics, including business management, information technology, entrepreneurship, and public speaking. They are structured in various formats such as tests, presentations, and role-playing scenarios, allowing students to demonstrate their business knowledge and skills. FBLA also offers workshops, awards and scholarships, leadership positions, and more!
HOSA
Finally, CBO will also be inviting Collingwood students to join HOSA competitive events. The Competitive Events Program is designed to motivate HOSA members and provide a system for recognizing the competencies developed by members through Health Science and Biomedical Science class instruction, related job training, and HOSA related activities. The competitions encompass a wide range of events related to various health science fields, including medical terminology, biomedical laboratory science, nursing, dental, emergency medical services, public health, and many others
