Welcome to Collingwood Business Organization’s inaugural Print (“Codingo”) Challenge! Join other creative and logical thinkers battle it out as they code their way across their bingo cards full of Python challenges! Code Zero Academy will provide virtual workshops on Python to deepen students’ understanding prior to this challenge so we welcome any students interested in coding from any level (beginners - advanced).

Code Zero Academy

Code Zero Academy is a project-based online coding school for high school students. Our mission is to deliver high quality and practical STEM education. We teach the exact tools software engineers use in industry, taught by engineers from top tech companies.

Code Zero Academy will be offering 4 one-hour workshops on python via Zoom. Participants can ask questions during these workshops. Workshops will be recorded for participants who cannot attend.

Competition Information

 

  • Hosted online on Sunday, February 13, 2022, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

    1. Bingo cards with coding tasks of various levels will be given out to each team (Points are assigned to each task based on difficulty level).

    2. The greatest number of points will (a detailed judging criteria sheet will be distributed to you closer to the date)

    3. Bonus points will be awarded to each Bingo row/column

    4. Coding in Python

  • 8:30 am – Check-in via Zoom

    8:45 am – Bingo cards will be sent out and information regarding the challenge will be provided

    9:00 am – Challenge begins

    1:30 pm – Submit code. Competitors should be sending in their codes as they finish along the way and not wait till the very last minute.

    1:30-1:45 pm – Break

    1:45-2:30 pm – Keynote speakers

    2:30 pm – Winners announced

  • Team minimum: 1 person

    Team maximum: 3 people

    Registration deadline: February 4, 2022

    Registration Fees: $10/each participant

  • 1st Place - Three $50 Amazon Gift Cards
